Runeblade: Light

House Omuren once hailed from the eastern kingdom of Qiros, but the earliest records of the house are found far across the sea in Atheria. Known for its diplomacy, the ancient house has stood as a stalwart defender of the Ashureen, guided and protected by the light. Noble though it may be, the Omuren legacy is not without considerable bloodshed, and the throne of Elaran as well as the throne of Lunare, remains contested.

House Mordyn is a reclusive house that once reigned over Andramaer, the northern region of Qiros. The Andrasir (bladesworn) in its service were regarded as little more than peasant farmers with strange, curved swords. But there was an unspoken truth about the men in the north, the bladesworn knew no equal in battle. House Mordyn ruled not by crown or throne, but by duty and honor—a once proud legacy now tarnished forever.

House Valestor, a longstanding rival of House Davyr, is a seafaring house that originates from the eastern kingdom of Iovara. Known for its greed and lust for power, the once modest trading house staged a most complicated political coup to usurp the throne of Lunare. House Omuren, with the aid of House Davyr and House Mordyn, fled across the Catabaran to make landfall in the city now known as Corenthis. House Valestor’s reputation for cunning and cruelty has endured through the ages and has reached not only Ashureen, but the farthest reaches of Atheria and Iovara.

House Davyr is an enduring maritime house that finds its origins in the far eastern kingdom of Iovara. Known for its wealth and prominence on the high seas, it’s unlikely alliance with House Omuren truly changed the course of history. While it has maintained its fealty to the Omuren royal family over millennia, many Corenthi hold the Admiralty of House Davyr, as the true king of the high seas.
